How many times have you skipped your workout in favor of laying around in your pajamas to watch TV? We’ve all done it. You know you should workout, but you just don’t feel like it. Sometimes getting motivated to workout isn’t easy and you might need a little help. So, the next time you’re feeling tempted to skip your workout, here is some fitness motivation to keep in mind!
I can. I will. End of story.
Adopting the attitude that you can do anything you put your mind to is important to remember when you’re trying to get motivated to exercise. You are the only thing that stands in the way of your success. So get out there, get moving and make it happen! The only obstacle is YOU!
Strive for Progress, not perfection.
It’s easy to get caught up in the idea of perfection. Perfect abs, perfect legs. Perfect this, perfect that. Perfection is impossible and progress should be your goal. Everyone is on their own journey and making progress is what’s important, not striving for an ideal that doesn’t exist.
The only bad workout is the one you didn’t do.
It’s true, ANY movement you can get is good for your body. So, even if you’re not feeling motivated to get up and spend a full hour at the gym, go for a walk, do some jumping jacks or some push-ups in your living room. It’s important to get your body moving, at least a little bit, every single day. There is no bad or wrong workout, as long as you workout!
Everyone needs a little shove out the door sometimes. Work, family and other obligations can make it hard to find the time or the energy to exercise, but it’s something you have to do. So use this is a little inspiration the next time you’re feeling a little sluggish.
