Football, brightly colored leaves, sweaters and crisp, cool weather can only mean one thing-it’s Fall! Here are 3 fall fitness tips to keep you on track this season.
I don’t know about you, but fall is my absolute favorite season. I’m a sucker for all things pumpkin, for cozy sweaters and the sounds of football filling the airwaves. I absolutely love fall! It’s also around this time that our schedules can start to fill up and many of us find ourselves skipping out on our workouts. Heading into the holidays is definitely not the time to ditch your fitness routine! So, here are a few ways that you can make fall fitness a part of your everyday life!
The TV Workout
Fall is the time when so many of our favorite T.V. shows start up again and many of us often find ourselves watching way too much television. You don’t have to put your health at risk by spending too much time laying on the couch binge watching your favorite shows. You can still get in plenty of television, the healthy way, by making your TV time active. There are many exercises like push ups, crunches, squats that you can do at home, in your living room while watching the latest episode of Scandal or Grey’s Anatomy. So use your TV watching time wisely and stay on top of your fall episodes and your fall fitness at the same time!
Take Advantage of the Season
There are so many exciting activities that take place in the fall and many of them include being outside and moving around! If you take advantage of all of the seasonal things that fall has to offer, you can be sure to get in plenty of extra steps in your day! Take a stroll around a farmers market to stock up on fresh, local produce or visit a pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. You could also get outside to look at the changing leaves and enjoy the crisp fall air! No matter what you choose, fall activities are fun and festive way to amp up your steps and enjoy the fruits of the season!
Play in the Leaves
There are few things better than being outside and feeling the cool crisp fall air. This is the perfect time of year to get outdoors and get your body moving with a fall fitness routine. Get outside and enjoy the beautiful fall scenery, while working up a sweat and doing something good for your body at the same time. If you live somewhere that has harsh winters, fall may be the last chance you have to enjoy the outdoors for a while. It’s been proven time and time again that exercise is a key component to a good immune system, so get out there and get moving while you still you can!
